My Son's Wonderful Wedding--Best Day Ever!

Aside from the day he was born, my son's wedding really was one of the best days of our lives. It was October 20th and there was wind and rain, but it held off for us in time to get some beautiful pictures.  From a photographer's point of view, not having to deal with bright overhead sun and shadows was a real bonus. That overcast sky was actually perfect lighting.

Why am I making a big deal about the pictures? Well, a friend recently told me that the only thing that you really get to take away from a wedding and the reception, etc, is the pictures. Now that I've been through it myself, I'd have to agree. Getting everything together for the wedding is both fun and stressful (so much work, so many details, and I was only the mother of the groom!), but when it's over, it's over. Everything is dismantled and the magic is gone, except for in the pictures.
